Exotic Veterinary Services
Paws and Claws now offers veterinary care for Avians and Exotics. Just like cats and dogs, exotics and Avians should be seen yearly as part of routine preventative care. During your pet’s wellness visit, he/she will be given a thorough, comprehensive exam. If needed, we can also administer vaccines, as well as perform nail, beak and wing trims.
The following is a list of the services we offer for birds, reptiles, and mammals:
Wellness exams and vaccines if required
– Sickness care and emergency visits
– Avian nail, wing, and beak trims
– Laser therapy
– Acupuncture (when applicable – please refer to our acupuncture services)
– Nutritional, behavioral, and husbandry consults
Diagnostics: urinalysis, fecal exams, blood screening, infectious disease testing, DNA sex identification, diagnostic imaging including radiology, and ultrasonography
Surgical procedures: dentistry, corrective surgeries, spays, neuters, and mass/tumor removal
Exotic pets we see:
– Exotic Mammals: Hamsters, Hedgehogs, Ferrets, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Chinchillas, Gerbils, Sugar gliders, Mice, Rats, and others
